SANDRA R. POLLOCK

As a little girl, Sandra had high hopes of helping others. She used that determination, drive and love to begin working with the elderly in their homes and then on to the Nursing and Rehabilitation homes. Afterwards she went on to work with adults with special needs of various kinds but realizing most of all that they needed to be cared for and loved which is what she gave each of them. When Sandra saw that some of these adults were capable of so much, she pursued to get her license in teaching special education in public schools after she finished her bachelor’s in business management. Sandra’s degree in business management was so that she could learn what she needed to learn to run a successful business and learn more of the care and concern of people in general and how to treat employees. Yes, Sandra came out with a degree, but what she learned much from was the experience throughout the process. Sandra now realizes that the management qualities of treating people fairly and appropriately were in her attributes the entire time.
Sandra has done volunteer work with children, meals on wheels, rehabilitation centers, and churches as well. The hope of helping people still lives! Sandra has gone on to acquire her master’s degree in Evangelism and church planting. Sandra envisions it to be as planting seeds of inspiration. She believes in love and has had the privilege to work with youths of various age groups and walks of life. The district she served had a high number of children living in shelters, foster care, with family members not necessarily having their mother/father at home.  The children took a hold on love. Sandra confirms that it wasn’t always laughing and giggles coming from her. She told them truth and gave them what they needed. They individuals whose lives interacted with Sandra knew she loved them. (This includes her coworkers, their parents/family members that knew her as well. Sandra knew when they were encouraged, they had “Hope”! Sandra exclaims, “…when they had hope, we saw changes in them and through them”. Sandra also says, “…This hope is what I like to share wherever I go!”
